He is the very model of a modern head departmental,
He knows computer science and now process analytical,
From language both associative and highly programmatical,
Through years of riding herd on us with nary a sabbatical.

With research in robotics, vision, color graphics, database,
Computer networks, chip design, AI and user interface,
Linguistics, neural networks and reality that's virtual,
A style of governance I'm sure you see at once won't hurt you all.

From sixty-four through ninety-five he worked hard without letting up,
So in his honor please join in as one and all we raise a cup,
To wish you well, George, in your chance to do new things you also like,
As GM offers you a choice, how shall I say, to take a hike.
